The WKU volleyball team continues to hold strong in the national polls, receiving votes with the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) to rank No. 36 while moving to No. 41 in the NCAA RPI, both organizations released on Monday.
With a sweep of UTEP (4-16, 2-7) on Sunday afternoon at Memorial Gym, the WKU volleyball team marked its 20th win of the 2014 season, setting its overall record at 20-5 and moving to 8-1 in Conference USA action.
In a battle of Conference USA undefeateds, the WKU volleyball team (19-5, 7-1) fell to home-team UTSA (12-7, 8-0) by a score of 3-1 (25-13, 23-25, 19-25, 20-25) on Friday night at the Convocation Center.
