WKU softball’s Miranda Kramer tied the Conference USA record after earning her seventh league Pitcher of the Week honor this season, the conference office announced Monday.
Setting a Conference USA record with the most strikeouts in a league game, Miranda Kramer fanned 18 batters through 11 innings of work, but the WKU softball team (29-10, 14-4) couldn’t string together hits, falling 3-1 to Charlotte (23-24, 9-11) on Sunday afternoon.
Senior Miranda Kramer threw her second no-hitter of the season and her career on Saturday afternoon, guiding the WKU softball team (29-9, 14-3) to a 3-1 victory over Charlotte (22-24, 8-11) to clinch the series.
It took one unearned run in the second inning for the WKU softball team (28-9, 13-3) to seal its 1-0 win over Charlotte (22-23, 8-10) in Friday night action at the WKU Softball Complex.
WKU softball’s (27-9, 12-3) series against Charlotte (22-22, 8-9) is getting changed due to inclement weather predicted for the Bowling Green area, as the teams will now play single games on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
