BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – WKU and Illinois postponed Friday’s scheduled meeting due to soggy field conditions at Nick Denes Field and have rescheduled the game for Saturday. The Hilltoppers (7-5) and the Fighting Illini (6-4) will play a double-header Saturday afternoon with the first pitch of game one slated for 1 p.m. (CT).

Game two of the double-header will begin around 40 minutes after the conclusion of game one. In the instance that the field does not dry out enough throughout the rest of Friday and early Saturday, the teams may play just one game later Saturday afternoon and squeeze a double-header in on Sunday. Sunday’s first pitch time remains at 1 p.m. as previously scheduled.

It will be Military Appreciation Weekend at Nick Denes Field, as all military personnel will receive free admission for all three games when they show a valid military ID and sign in at the gate. Friends and family may purchase additional tickets for only $3. For more information on WKU Baseball, follow the team on Twitter at @WKUBaseball or visit WKUSports.com.
