CONCEPT:
A fan, sponsor-driven incentive program to increase attendance and WKU Spirit among students at selected WKU sporting events. WKU students are a vital part of the home court advantage at Diddle Arena, Nick Denes Baseball Field and the WKU Softball Complex. Your attendance and energy excite the venues and motivate our student athletes to perform at their highest level.
HISTORY:
During the 2006-07 college basketball season, Hilltopper Hoops Rewards Program was created. This year, we have built on this program and created the RED Alert Rewards Program. Previously, your attendance for basketball was only counted toward your totals. This year, the RED Alert Rewards program will be based on your attendance at Volleyball, Men’s Basketball, Women’s Basketball, Baseball and Softball Games. Right now, there are over 88 games you can attend.
BECOME A RED Alert MEMBER!
This program is simple. There is no need to sign up or register for anything. Just attend WKU Athletic events and swipe your student ID, the Big Red Card, and your attendance will automatically be recorded.

GRAND PRIZE:
By attending games, RED Alert participants earn entries into the grand prize drawing at the end of the year where one lucky Hilltopper fan will win one semester of in-state tuition.

REWARDS PROGRAM GUIDELINES
- The rewards program is open to all currently registered undergraduate and graduate students at WKU. Students that transfer from WKU or graduate mid-year (e.g. December) will no longer be able to eligible for additional attendance.
- Students are responsible for getting their ID’s scanned when they arrive to the game. For Volleyball, Baseball and Softball ID’s will be scanned until 1 hour after start time. For Basketball, ID’s will be scanned up to the conclusion of halftime. A student cannot receive credit for attendance if he or she forgets to have their ID scanned.
- In the event that there is a problem with the scanner during the game, the students’ name will be collected FOR THAT EVENT ONLY and their attendance will be manually added to the system.
- Once a student reaches a new incentive level, they may pick up their item at the WKU Marketing table located inside Diddle Arena on specified pick-up dates and times. Those will be determined when the Fall semester begins.
REWARDS PICK UP INFORMATION
- As you earn the FREE merchandise, you will be able to pick it up at the JB Distributors Entrance in Diddle Arena on select Tuesday’s from 3:30 pm – 5:30 pm while school is in session.
- The pick up dates for 2007-08 are:
- December: 4th, 11th
- January: 29th
- February: 5th, 12th, 19th, 26th
- March: 4th, 25th
- April: 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd
