Big Red
Dec. 8, 2015 BOWLING GREEN, Ky. -- Mascots from 16 NCAA Division I universities and colleges, including WKU's Big Red, will put their snow spirit and athletic prowess to the test during the second annual Steamboat Mascot Stampede, Dec. 11-13, 2015 on the slopes of the Steamboat Ski Resort.

“Last year’s Mascot Stampede was a huge success and its popularity shows in this year’s increased attendance from schools across the country,” said Katie Brown, vice president of sales and marketing for Steamboat. “The Mascot Stampede is fast solidifying its position as one of the most unique collegiate events on snow and a must participate weekend for mascots.”

The Mascot Stampede is the brainchild of Steamboat Ski Resort in conjunction with Raymond Entertainment Group, which has produced mascot events around the country. Mascots will be in Steamboat-Ski Town, U.S.A. to test their skills in on- and off-snow competitions, as well as hone their mascot skills with professional development and educational seminars. Miles the Mascot, Denver’s professional football mascot, will also be at the Stampede skiing, mingling with guests and providing professional guidance to the collegiate mascots.
