E.A. Diddle Arena Set For Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony November 11

Bowling Green, Ky. — The Western Kentucky University Department of Athletics will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony to reopen a renovated E.A. Diddle Arena to the public Tuesday, Nov. 11.

The event begins at 4 p.m. (CST) with a short program in the Hall of Champions before a ceremony at center court. The open house will conclude with the entire arena available for self-guided tours until 6 p.m.

The open house will provide access to the men’s and women’s basketball state-of-the-art locker rooms, both sports’ new offices, the new weight room, training room and academic advising center, food court and the Hall of Champions.

Western President Dr. Gary Ransdell, Hilltopper Director of Athletics Dr. Wood Selig, Bowling Green mayor Sandy Jones, former Hilltopper Athletic Foundation Board President Ron Sowell and men’s and women’s basketball coaches Darrin Horn and Mary Taylor Cowles will speak at the function prior to the festivities at center court.
