Hilltopper Football Season Ticket Sales Up Seven Percent From A Year Ago

Bowling Green, Ky. — Boosted by the first national championship in Western Kentucky University history, season ticket sales for the Hilltopper football games are already up seven percent from a year ago. WKU opens its title defense at home on Thursday with a 7 p.m. (CST) matchup with Union (Ky.).

“We are pleased with the surge in sales the past couple of weeks as we move closer to the season opener,” said Athletic Ticket Office manager Jim Cope.

In other football news, tickets for the Sept. 27 game at No. 6 Auburn go on sale to the public Friday (Aug. 29). Tickets are $32 each and can be ordered by visiting the Athletic Ticket Office in E.A. Diddle Arena or by phone (745-5222 or 1-800-5-BIG-RED).
