“We’re excited about our relationship with WKU Athletics,” said Rick Kelley, owner of Mariah’s. “We will be able to offer more variety, quality and service to the fans which will improve their game experience.”
In addition to standard concessions, Mariah’s will offer a Starbucks kiosk, Pizza Hut pizza, soft serve ice cream and Island Oasis Smoothies. They will also provide in-seat service for Diddle Arena VIP chairs and Red Towel seats where fans can order directly from their seat. Mariah’s will also cater the Diddle Arena luxury suites. Other new concession items will include chicken fingers, buffalo wings, wraps and numerous other items.
“The fans will see a greater variety of items during this upcoming year,” said WKU Athletic Business Manager Darrell Horn. “This includes a more friendly kids menu. We hope that this relationship will be a long-term partnership. We are excited about the possibilities that Mariah’s brings to the table.”
“Mariah’s has long been known as one of Bowling Green’s best restaurants,” said Western Director of Athletics Dr. Wood Selig. “Our ability to incorporate their culinary expertise and overall standards of excellence for our athletic concessions and catering is just another example of how Western athletics is committed to delivering an outstanding game experience for every one of our fans. We hope our supporters will arrive early, enjoy dinner from Mariah’s at the game, and help the Hilltoppers continue to win championships.”
Western fans will get their first taste of the new concession menu Thursday when the Hilltopper football team opens defense of its 2002 NCAA Division I-AA national championship against Union (Ky.) at 7 p.m. (CDT)
