WMMG (103.5 FM/1140 AM) in Brandenburg and WAIN-AM (1270) in Columbia will debut when the Hilltoppers open the season against West Virginia Tech Thursday (Sept. 1) at L.T. Smith Stadium/Jimmy Feix Field.
“We always jump at any opportunity to increase the exposure of Hilltopper football and basketball,” said Mike Legg, Western’s Director of Sales and Broadcasting and the “Voice of the Hilltoppers.” “These two additions allow us to enhance our footprint in northern and eastern Kentucky.”
In addition to the two new affiliates, the Big Red Radio Network also includes the following stations: WPTQ-FM (103.7) — the flagship station for Topper football — WKLX-FM (100.7), WOVO-FM (105.3) and WCDS-AM (1440) in Bowling Green and Glasgow; WANY (106.3 FM/1390 AM) in Albany; WBRT-AM (1320) in Bardstown; WTCO-AM (1450) in Campbellsville; WIEL-AM (1400) in Elizabethtown; WEKT-AM (1070) in Elkton; WSON-AM (860) in Henderson; WTTL-AM (1310) in Madisonville; WLBQ-AM (1570) in Morgantown; WLME-FM (102.9) in Owensboro; and, WPKY-AM (1580) in Princeton.
