Q: "Why do you no longer serve hamburgers, hot dogs, & bratwurst from the grill at Hilltopper baseball games? In my opinion, a baseball game is not complete until you consume a bratwurst and some peanuts with a cold beverage. I would think that as the temperature outside gets warmer, the more "grilling-out" you would do, instead of the other way around. I love going to WKU baseball games, but you need to bring back the grill!" -- question submitted by Kevin Forsberg (Bowling Green, Ky.)
Dr. Selig: "You are correct. Nothing better than a grilled dog and cold beverage at a baseball game. ARAMARK holds the right to our athletic concessions. I will see if we can get them to address this item as I agree with you. We are not providing the service we should to our fans if we are not offering the type of menu items you have suggested. Thanks for bringing this to our attention. We need to fix this.
P.S. -- Do not miss Friday's game against Middle Tennessee at Nick Denes Field at 6 p.m. Not only are both teams ranked (MTSU #34, WKU #36), fighting for the Sun Belt Conference regular-season championship and playing for an NCAA postseason bid, but MTSU is expected to throw a pitcher that night who just might be the top pick in the Major League Baseball draft next month. His name is Dewon Brazleton and he throws in the upper 90's. Sports Illustrated is doing a feature on him in the next few weeks. WKU will counter with our all-time wins leader and certain high MLB draft pick, Ryan Hutchison. It should be as good a baseball game as anyone will see all year. See you Friday at 6 p.m.!
