SAAC and SGA Making Impact in Community - Run 4 Rice This Sunday

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. -- The Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and Student Government Association (SGA) at Western Kentucky University continue to positively impact the Bowling Green community and are preparing to hold two events.

On Saturday, the SAAC and SGA will team up with the WKU softball team to hold a Soles4Souls shoe drive. Fans are asked to bring their new or lightly-used shoes to the WKU softball game against ULM to donate to the Soles4Souls Foundation. First pitch on Saturday is set for 12:00 PM at the WKU Softball Complex.

The SAAC is also hosting the "Run 4 Rice" on Sunday, May 1, to raise money for the Bowling Green Refugee Center. The 5K run will be held at Kereiakes Park and starts at 2:00 PM.
