2009 (Junior): Took the mound 25 times for the Hilltoppers, making five starts and coming out of the bullpen 20 times… Finished the season with a 6-1 record, the third-highest win total on the staff… Led the team in saves with four… Struck out 54 in 51.0 innings pitched… Worked 4.2 innings of relief at Auburn on March 11, allowing just one hit and striking out six Tigers… Was a valuable arm out of the bullpen in the Sun Belt Conference Tournament, striking out five of the eight batters he faced out of the bullpen in the tournament opener against ULM on May 20… Threw two scoreless innings on just 21 pitches the next day against Troy… Pitched two scoreless frames against the Warhawks two days later, allowing just two base hits while fanning four.

2008 (Sophomore):
Started 14 games a sophomore, second most on the team... Equaled his strikeout total from his freshman season with 64, while throwing 7.2 less innings than in his rookie campaign... Pitched into the sixth inning nine times, including a season-long 7.2 inning performance against Middle Tennessee on the final weekend of the regular season... Recorded a season-high six strikeouts four times ... Picked up four of his six wins in Sun Belt Conference play.

2007 (Freshman):
Made 19 appearances and 12 starts in his rookie season, finishing with six wins... Posted 64 strikeouts in 85.0 innings of work... Threw a pair of complete games, tossing all nine innings in wins over UALR on April 27 and South Alabama on May 12... Picked up three wins in Sun Belt Conference play, posting a 3.75 ERA against the league... Struck out a season-high nine batters in the win over South Alabama... Also finished with seven strikeouts on four occasions... Named the Sun Belt Conference Freshman of the Year... Earned both Louisville Slugger and Ping! Freshman All-America honors.

Franklin Community High School: Started four years at Franklin County High School, earning all-county honors all four years... A three-time all-conference selection... Earned Metro-South Co-Player of the Year accolades as a senior after finishing with a 0.78 ERA and 111 strikeouts for the Grizzly Cubs... Named All-State Honorable Mention in 2006... Was a North-South All-Star.
