In his only year as a starter, was selected honorable mention all-region after leading the Indians to an 11-1 record and the quarterfinals of the state 2A playoffs (where they fell to the eventual champion) ... Threw for 763 yards and 13 scores, completing 66-127 attempts, while rushing for 886 yards and 18 touchdowns ... CCHS won the state championship each of his first three years, as the Indians compiled a 53-3-1 (93.9%) mark during his high-school career ... Earned four letters in basketball and track as well.
