As a Sophomore (2012): Second-Team All-Sun Belt Conference … Sun Belt Conference Player of
the Week (April 9) … Started all 59 games in leftfield for WKU … Led team with
14 home runs, tied for second-most in single season in program history … Became
second player in WKU history to record over 100 total bases in single season … Went
2-for-3 with a home run, two RBI, two stolen bases, and three runs scored
against Winthrop on Feb. 11 … Had three runs scored and two RBI with a HR
against North Dakota on Feb. 17 … Hit a three-run home run at Arizona on Feb.
18 … Went 3-for-4 with three RBI in win over Kennesaw State, hit a triple and a
home run in that game … Hit two solo home runs against Tennessee-Martin on
March 4 ... Had two hits, including a home run and three RBI, in series finale
at Florida Atlantic on March 10 … Hit .600 with two doubles, two home runs, and
five RBI in series against Troy April 6-7, earning Sun Belt Player of the Week
honors … Went 3-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI in 8-0 win over Troy on
April 6 … Also had two RBI against Troy on April 7 … Hit a two-RBI walk-off
single in WKU’s 7-6 win over FIU on April 14 … Was a combined 5-for-7 with
three RBI and three runs scored in doubleheader against Lipscomb on April 25.
As a Freshman (2011): Sun Belt Conference Player Of The Week (May 9) ... Started in 58 games in her freshman campaign...Finished third on the team with a .331 batting average...Mattox led the team in runs (38), doubles (13), RBIs (36) and shared the lead in home runs with eight...She finished second in hits with 55 and had the highest slugging percentage with .566...Mattox tallied 108 putouts with 67 assists for a .972 fielding percentage...Mattox earned Sun Belt Conference Player of the Week honors May 9 for her four runs off seven hits and six RBIs during the week...She posted a season-high two home runs in a single game against Troy April 9...Mattox tallied 15 multiple hit games and 10 multiple RBI games, ending the season with a six-game hitting streak.
High School: A four-year starter from Alpharetta High School in Alpharetta, GA...During her high school career, named a Georgia Dugout Club All-State selection and an East All-Star...She was also named to the Georgia Elite 80 and was a two-time Region 6-AAAAA First Team Infielder...She was voted two time MVP...Finished her career with a batting average of .357 and career leader in home runs...She helped lead her travel team to a top 20 finish at 18U Gold Nationals in 2009...Played for the GA Impact travel team.
Personal: Born February 12, 1992 in Atlanta, GA...She is the daughter of Bruce and Kathy Mattox...Majoring in Political Science and minor in Legal Studies at WKU...Her brother, Bradford Mattox, currently plays baseball for the University of West Georgia.
