BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — The WKU men's golf team started its spring campaign with a 13th-place result at the Charleston Shootout in Charleston, S.C., finishing five strokes behind 12th-place High Point.

WKU fired a 308 and a 294 on Monday and followed that up with a 317 in the third and final round on Tuesday. Florida won the tournament title with a three-round score of 844.

Andrew Heiser finished tied for 63rd with a 232 over the two days, and Robert Kirby, Alex Yost and Andy Gladden each shot 233s to tie for 65th. Robert Greenleaf was tied for 77th, and Conor Griffiths rounded out the Hilltoppers in the field with a 239, which had him tied for 79th.

T.J. Vogel of Florida won the individual crown with a three-round total of 206.

The Hilltoppers are back in action on Sunday, March 11 at the Appalachian State Tournament in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
