MONROE, La. — The WKU men's golf team finished in a tie for sixth at the inaugural ULM Wallace Jones Invitational after carding a three-round score of 926 early this week in Monroe, La.

The Hilltoppers finished four shots behind fifth-place McNeese State and wound up tied with Missouri State. ULM and Oklahoma City tied for the tournament title at 887, and Oklahoma City won in a one-hole team playoff.

Cameron Beal, competing as an individual, finished 20th with a 229 over three rounds. Logan Edelen was tied for 27th with a 232, and Doug Kleeschulte and Brandon Beckham each fired 234s to tie for 33rd.

Andrew Heiser wound up tied for 38th after shooting a 235 for the tournament, and Will Beard placed 50th with a 241.

The Hilltoppers head to Columbus, Ohio, later this week to participate in the Robert Kepler Intercollegiate hosted by Ohio State Saturday and Sunday.
