Kevin Knezevich joined the Western Kentucky University swimming and diving coaching staff in the 2012-13 season as an assistant after competing three years as a Hilltopper. Knezevich was named a CollegeSwimming.com Mid-Major Honorable Mention All-American his last two years and scored in multiple events in the Sun Belt Conference Swimming and Diving Championships.
As a Senior (2011-12): Kevin Knezevich capped his Hilltopper career with a senior season that featured scoring in three events at the 2012 Sun Belt Conference Swimming and Diving Championships and being named a CollegeSwimming.com Mid-Major Honorable Mention All-American for the second straight season. Knezevich finished runner-up in the 100 butterfly with a season-best and NCAA "B" cut time of 47.75. He also placed fourth in the 50 freestyle (20.54) and seventh in the 100 freestyle (45.48). During the season, Knezevich posted 16 top-7 finishes and won the 100 butterfly against the University of the Cumberlands. He also finished second in the 100 fly at the Hilltopper Invitational. Against Kentucky, he placed fourth in the 100 fly and sixth in the 50 free. Knezevich added a pair of top-10 finishes in the same events at Georgia Tech and Clemson.
As a Junior (2010-11): In his second season with the Hilltoppers, Knezevich finished the year with six top-five finishes and was named a Mid-Major Honorable Mention All-American after posting an NCAA provisional qualifying time. He also scored in two events at the Sun Belt Conference Championships, including a runner-up finish in the 50 freestyle. Knezevich qualified for the finals with a season-best time of 20.54. He also earned fifth place in the 100 free with a time of 45.50. Knezevich picked up one event win on the season, capturing the 100 fly against Xavier. He also tallied a pair of top 10 finishes against South Carolina.
As a Sophomore (2009-10): Kevin Knezevich saw action in one dual meet against Evansville during his second season at WKU. He posted a time of 22.48 in the 50 free. Knezevich earned the WKU Coaches Award for his efforts during the year.
