BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — WKU shot a 328 as a team in the third round of the ULM Invitational Tuesday in Monroe, La., and finished in eighth place in the two-day event.
Troy defeated South Alabama by six strokes to win the tournament for the second-straight year. Northeastern State's Whitney McAteer and Troy's Langley Vannoy tied for first individually to force a sudden death playoff, which McAteer won on the first hold with a par.
Dawn Wientjes was the only Lady Topper to shoot in the 70s on Tuesday and finished tied for 30th with a 237. Kristen Wilkinson was tied for 33rd with a 238 over the three rounds, and April Butler was tied for 42nd after carding a 244 in Monroe.
Martha Tallent shot an 83 on Tuesday and ended up tied for 50th, and Kate Larimore's 260 had her in 56th place.
The Lady Toppers are back in action October 10 and 11 at the F&M Bank Invitational, hosted by Austin Peay.
