Bowling Green, Ky. - The WKU women's tennis team dropped its final two matches of its spring break swing, falling to UALR Saturday in Bowling Green and losing to Northern Iowa Sunday in Nashville.
The Lady Toppers (6-5) fought to earn two points in both matches, with Carolina Barboza earning her seventh singles win of the season against the Trojans (11-7) while the double teams of Monta Reinfelde/Madeline Phillips and Gabby Crofford/McKinley Mason picked up the other point.
Against Northern Iowa (8-6), Alex Crofford notched her sixth singles win of the season while Madeline Phillips picked up her third victory.
Junior Monta Reinfelde entered the weekend undefeated at 8-0 from the No.1 singles position, but stumbled against UALR's Veronique Luksich 7-5, 6-4 and Northern Iowa's Phoebe Walker 7-5, 6-3.
WKU returns to the court Friday as they take on Lipscomb in Nashville, Tenn.
