Crestview Hills, Ky. - The WKU tennis teams split Saturday's action at Northern Kentucky, with the Lady Toppers (2-1) cruising to a 6-1 win while the Hilltoppers (1-3) fell to the Norse 7-0.
Junior Monta Reinfelde continued her dominance on the court by handling NKU's Claire Spradlin 6-2, 6-0 from No.1 singles while also teaming with Madeline Phillips to defeat Spradlin and Marta Romeo 8-3. Reinfelde boasts a 3-0 record from singles and doubles play this season.
Carolina Barboza, Madeline Phillips and Gabby Crofford all improved to 2-1 on the year, combining to win their matches 36-6.
The Hilltoppers struggled to find their groove as they were swept for the second straight weekend.
Both teams are back in action Feb. 23 at Morehead State.
