The Lady Toppers cruised past Bellarmine thanks to a pair of winning performances by juniors Monta Reinfelde and Alex Crofford as well as sophomores Carolina Barboza and Madeline Phillips.
The Reinfelde-Phillips tandem that entered 2012-13 nationally ranked by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association, dismantled Bellarmine's top duo of Evann Waschuck and Hannah Hagan 8-2.
The Lady Toppers were perfect in singles play, picking up wins from all six slots. Freshman Gabby Crofford picked up her first win of the spring with a 6-2, 6-2 win over Hagan.
Junior McKinley Mason notched the 10th singles win of her career and first since 2011 with a 2-6, 6-1, 11-9 victory over Caitlin Hanley.
Reinfelde picked up her 30th win in 35 career singles matches by handling Washuck 6-4, 6-3.
The Hilltoppers dropped a tight decision with the Knights, falling 4-3.
Junior Josh Smith and sophomore Andrew Fish headlined the day for WKU, beating Bellarmine's No.1 doubles team of Jacob Knagenhjelm and Carlos Antonioli 8-6.
Other Hilltoppers picking up wins were freshman Alex Taranda, sophomore J.T. Closi and senior Lance Freeman, who wall won in singles play.
The Hilltoppers are back in action Friday at Georgetown (Ky.) while the Lady Toppers travel to Nashville, Tenn. to duel with Belmont.
