BOWLING GREEN, Ky. -- Summer is not just for relaxing for the WKU men's basketball team, as the squad has been working out over the last couple of months including spending Tuesday mornings doing unique sand pit training.
New NCAA legislation allows teams to practice for a limited amount of time each week during the summer. The Hilltoppers remained on campus for much of the summer, going through individual workouts, team practice, weightlifting and conditioning.
The 2012-13 season begins Saturday, November 10 with a game at Southern Miss after two exhibition games at E.A. Diddle Arena.
