A pair of WKU November home games have been selected as the Sun Belt Game of the Week. The first comes on Nov. 10 when Florida Atlantic visits Houchens Industries-L.T. Smith Stadium for a noon (CST) kickoff. That is an adjusted start time from the previous 3:30 p.m. kick that was previously announced. The Hilltoppers' regular-season finale against North Texas on Nov. 24 will also be televised on the Sun Belt Network.
The 2012 campaign marks the fourth season of the Sun Belt Network, which is a joint partnership with Comcast Sports Southeast (CSS) and Cox Sports Television (CST). Each Sun Belt Network game will be available in 13 states across the southeast and is often available on ESPN3.com and ESPN GamePlan outside of the CSS and CST markets.
The Hilltoppers are coming off a 7-5 season in 2011, winning seven of their final eight games. The lone loss in that stretch was in mid-November at then-#1 LSU. WKU also put together a 7-1 Sun Belt record to finish second in the conference standings. That was a five-win turnaround in league games from 2010, marking the largest single-season turnaround in Sun Belt history. WKU opens fall camp on Monday (Aug. 6) in preparation for the Sept. 1 season opener against Austin Peay. The three-week camp will wrap up with the annual Family Fun Day from 4-6 p.m. on Aug. 25.
Season ticket packages for the 2012 season start as low at $50, and are currently available by contacting the WKU Ticket Office at 1-800-5 BIG RED.
