2011 (Junior): Saw action in all 57 of WKU's games in 2011 and made 52 starts at third base and five starts at first base...Led the team with five walks in the opening series...Finished the season with 17 multi-hit games, tied for fifth-best on the team...Added seven multi-RBI games...Ended the year with a .281 batting average and reached base at a .373 clip, including six stolen bases...Also drove in 27 runs with a home run and six doubles...Hit .408 (20-for-49) when he led off an inning and .692 (9-for-13) with a runner on third and less than two outs...One of the toughest hitters on the team to strikeout, finishing the year with 29 strikeouts in 210 at-bats...Went 3-for-4 with three RBIs in loss to Belmont on March 30...Also tallied three hits, including a game-tying single in the eighth, in the series finale against Troy on April 24.
2010 (Sophomore): Saw action in 51 of WKU's 58 games in 2010 and made 51 starts, mainly at third base...Also started six games at first base...Tallied 57 hits on the season, the fourth-best total on the team...Finished the year with a .286 batting average and 29 RBIs...Recorded 20 multi-hit games, good for fifth on WKU, and eight multi-RBI games...Had a 12-game hitting streak from March 9 to 26 with a .380 (19-for-50) average and 10 RBIs during that span...Posted a .393 on-base percentage, drawing 26 walks and 11 hit-by-pitch...Went 12-for-15 (.800) with a runner on third and less than two outs...Went 5-for-13 (.385) with five runs, five RBIs and three walks in a weekend series at New Orleans (3/12-14)
2009 (Freshman): Hit .257 in 19 games played, making 10 starts… Two of his nine hits were home runs… Crossed the plate six times on the season… Had a season-high three RBI in a start at designated hitter at FIU on April 5… Also drew a walk to go along with one home run… Had hits in four straight games played from April 5 to April 14, three of which were in a starting role… Started one game in the NCAA Tournament, getting the nod at designated hitter against Ole Miss on May 30… Went 1-for-3 in that contest.
Franklin High School: A four-year starter for Franklin High... Led the team to three-straight Tennessee State Tournaments, including one appearance in the semi-finals... Part of two District Championships and two Regional Titles... Posted a career batting average of .341 with 141 RBI in 437 plate appearances... Named all-district and all-region as well as taking home District Tournament Most Valuable Player honors... Selected for the Tennessee Junior Class All-Star Team... Holds the Franklin High School record for career stolen bases... Also was an all-state linebacker on the football team.
