NEW ORLEANS - Getting off to a hot start in 2013, Western Kentucky University's Michelle Craddock earned Sun Belt Conference Swimmer of the Week, the league office announced Wednesday.

Originally from Jacksonville, Fla., Craddock posted a pair of individual wins and a relay win on Friday in the Lady Toppers' sweep of Florida Atlantic and Nova Southeastern.

The freshman stopped the clock at 52.29 in the 100 free and at 1:52.65 in the 200 free, all at season-best times. Rounding out her final event, Craddock notched a time of 24.06 in the second leg of the 200 free relay to give WKU a top time of 1:37.00.

The Swimmer of the Week honor marked the first of Craddock's career and she is the fourth Lady Topper this season to tab a weekly award. WKU has had a Swimmer and/or Diver of the Week five times during the 2012-13 season.

WKU closes out the regular season on Saturday, January 19 at 1 p.m. when the team hosts its Senior Day against Evansville at Bill Powell Natatorium.
