BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - The Western Kentucky University baseball team returns to Sun Belt Conference play this weekend with a three-game series against FIU at Nick Denes Field. Game times are scheduled for 6 p.m. Friday, 3 p.m. Saturday and Noon Sunday.

WKU (9-12) is coming off a split in a pair midweek games, falling at home 6-5 to Belmont on Tuesday and coming-from-behind to earn a 12-8 road victory at Austin Peay on Wednesday. Down 8-6 in the seventh, the Hilltoppers used a six-run top of the seventh inning to rally for the victory.  A three-run home run by right fielder Ryan Hutchison highlighted the inning while first baseman Ryan Huck drove in a run with an RBI double and center fielder Jared Andreoli capped the scoring with an RBI single.

All games will be broadcast live on the Big Red Radio Network, and live stats, live video and live audio will be available for all three games as well.

Numerous promotions are slated to take place at the ballpark this weekend.

Friday is "Faculty/Staff Appreciate Day" when all WKU Faculty and Staff members receive one complimentary ticket.

Following Saturday's game, 13 WKU baseball players, including Jared Andreoli, Adam Lavell, Steve Hodgins and Tim Bado, will shave their heads as part of the St. Baldrick's Foundation's fundraising opportunity benefiting childhood cancer. The St. Baldrick's Foundation coordinates worldwide head-shaving events where volunteers get bald to stand in solidarity with kids fighting cancer and raise money to support research.

Sunday is "Big Red's Rascals Day" when all Big Red's Rascals are invited to this game. An autograph session with the WKU players and Big Red will take place after the game. One lucky Rascal will have the opportunity to throw out the first pitch and all Rascals are invited to take a group picture with Big Red after the game on the field. Centerplate offers a Sunday Special where fans can purchase one hot dog, a small popcorn and a small drink for $5.
