The Week Ahead...

• The Lady Toppers take to the road this weekend to face Louisiana-Monroe and Louisiana-Lafayette.

• WKU is a combined 14-1-1 against the Louisiana schools of the Sun Belt. The Lady Toppers have outscored the Ragin’ Cajuns by 14 goals for the overall series and the Warhawks by 15 goals.

• WKU’s current four-match unbeaten streak is the team’s longest since October 2nd- October 18, 2009 when the Lady Toppers won six straight matches, four of which were on the road. 

SUCCESSFUL HOMESTAND:  WKU completed its longest homestand of the season last weekend, going 3-0-1 in four matches. The Lady Toppers outscored UALR, Arkansas State, FIU, and Florida Atlantic 7-2 and had three shutouts. WKU outshot its opponents 85-32, putting 38 shots on goal. The Lady Toppers have not had an unbeaten streak of four matches or more since 2009 when WKU went on a six-match winning streak from October 2nd through the 18th.

WKU AMONG RPI TOP-60:  The WKU soccer team moved up to 56th in the latest Division I Women’s Soccer RPI out of 322 schools, released by the NCAA on Wednesday. The Lady Toppers were 80th in the first RPI rankings released on Sept. 28. WKU has played four teams ranked among the RPI Top-50 - #7 Memphis who is currently 13-0-1, #32 Rice, #42 Vanderbilt, and #43 Denver.

RYMER REASON:  Junior midfield Courtney Rymer is having a career-year in 2011, surpassing previous career-highs for goals and points with three goals and seven points. Rymer has started every match this season, and is tied for second on the team in goals. On Sunday, Rymer scored her third goal of the season and in the process tallied her first career game-winning goal as the Lady Toppers defeated Florida Atlantic 3-0.

STOUT’S SCORELESS STREAK:
Senior goalkeeper Libby Stout has not allowed a goal in her last 318:01 of action spanning her last four appearances. WKU’s all-time leader in goalkeeper wins, shutouts, goals against average, and save percentage, Stout last allowed a goal in the 44th minute of the Lady Toppers’ match at Denver on September 25. Stout currently leads the Sun Belt Conference with a 0.93 goals against average.
