As a Sophomore (2012): Sun Belt Conference Player of the Week (March 12, May 7) …
Started all 59 games at shortstop … Led WKU with 42 RBI and was second on the
team with 12 home runs … Had team-high 14 multi-hit games and 12 multi-RBI
games … Went 2-for-3 with two RBI in 9-2 win over North Dakota on Feb. 17 … Drove
in four RBI against UAB on Feb. 19, went 2-for-3 with a double and home run …
Went 2-for-3 with walk-off three-run home run in 4-1, eight-inning win over Morehead
State on Feb. 25 … Hit a grand slam in WKU’s 11-0 win at Florida Atlantic on
March 7 … Hit .500 with three home runs and eight RBI in games against Florida
Atlantic, Providence, Minnesota, and Boston College March 7-10; Earned Sun Belt
Player of the Week honors for that performance … Had a two-run home run against
Kentucky on March 21 … Had home runs in three straight games from May 3-5; Was
a combined 6-for-10 at the plate with seven RBI that week against Evansville
and Middle Tennessee and was named Sun Belt Player of the Week … Was 2-for-3
with two RBI against ULM in Sun Belt Tournament on May 11.
As a Freshman (2011): Sun Belt Conference All-Tournament Team... Started in all 59 games at shortstop for the Lady Toppers in her freshman campaign...She finished fourth on the team with a .318 batting average...Thomas led the team in hits with 56 and shared the lead in home runs with eights...She finished with 26 runs, 12 doubles, one triple and 35 RBIs...She totaled 94 bases and had a slugging percentage of .534...Thomas led the team and SBC in assists with 173, she had 79 putouts for a .906 fielding percentage...She was named to the Sun Belt Conference All-Tournament team following the SBC tournament where she had five hits, one run and seven RBIs, she hit a three run homer in extra innings to lead WKU to a victory over ULM in the second game of the SBC tournament...Thomas finished with 15 multiple hit games and 10 multiple RBI games with a six-game hitting streak.
High School-A four-year starter at John Horn High School in Mesquite, Texas...A three-time All-District, All-Academic honoree...Named two-time team Infielder of the year...Earned Defensive player of the District her senior season...She led the team in RBIs in 2007...Helped guide her team to three consecutive District championships and two undefeated seasons in 2009 and 2010...In 2009, she led the team in batting average with an overall average of .344...Played for the TX Rapid Fire travel team.
Personal-Born June 8, 1992 in Dallas, Texas...Thomas is the daughter of Keith and Deanna Thomas and will major in physical therapy while at WKU.
