As a Freshman (2008-09): Took home fifth place at the Oakland Quad Meet in the 100 Back (52.96) and fourth place in the 200 Back (1:55.09) ... finished third in the 100 Back against New Orleans and Cumberland (52.49) ... placed fifth in the 200 Back at the Georgia
Tech Meet (1:55.11) ... claimed fourth place against Evansville in the 100 Back (53.62) ... also placed fifth in the 100 Back against Southern Illinois (52.83) and in the 200 Back (1:54.99).

High School: Lettered four years at North Central High School and won two team state championships with the Panthers... was named All-State six times and is a seven-time All-American in the Metropolitan Interscholastic Conference ... was named Academic All-Conference four times.
