As a Senior (2010-11): Krista Mantay's senior season on the Hill included eight top-five finishes and scoring in three events at the Sun Belt Conference Swimming and Diving Championships. Mantay competed in the 200-, 500- and 1,650-freestyle events, with her best an eighth-place finish in the 1,650 free (17:17.91). She also placed 15th in both the 200- and 500-free events. Mantay finished runner-up in the 1,000 free in a meet against Evansville, her best finish of the year. She also had a strong meet against South Carolina and Vanderbilt, placing fourth in the 1,000 free and fifth in the 500 free.
As a Junior (2009-10): Mantay's third season at WKU included five top-5 finishes including three wins in the 1,000 freestyle event. Mantay placed first in the event against Southern Illinois, Xavier and Evansville with her best time a mark of 10:28.28. She also scored in two events at the 2010 SBC Championships (the 500- and 1,650-free). Her best performance was a 10th-place finish in the 1,650 free, touching in at 17:33.65. Mantay also placed 15th in the 500 free.
As a Sophomore (2008-09): Won the 1000 Free at the Georgia Tech meet with a time of 10:22.23 and placed third in the 500 Free (5:05.76) ... also captured the 1000 Free title against Evansville ( 10:29.14) and Southern Illinois (10:28.28) ... also against Southern Illiinois, placed first in the 500 Free (5:07.58) ... finished second at the Oakland Quad Meet in the 1000 Free with a time of 10:23.23 and in the 500 Free (5:07.01) ... also finished second against New Orleans and Cumberland in the 200 Free (1:55.69).
As a Freshman (2007-2008): At the SBC Championships finished fourth in the 500 Free (4:56.67), ninth in the 200 Free (1:54.81), fifth in the 1650 Free (16:58.15) and was a member of the 800 Free Relay team that placed third (7:33.73) ... placed second in the 1000 Free against Louisville (10:27.52) and in the 500 Free (5:06.30) ... finished second in the 1000 Free against Georgia Tech (10:27.47) and in the 500 Free (5:05.35) ... also placed second in the 1000 Free and the 500 Free (5:05.16) in the Grizzly Quadrangular Meet (10;30.95) and against Southern Illinois (10:31.51) and (5:07.87) ... won the 1650 Free against Evansville (17:38.11) ... ranks second in school history in the 1650 Free (16:58.15) and in the 500 Free (4:56.67) ... picked up the title in the 1650 Free at the WKU Invitational (17:28.61).
High School: Four-year letter winner for coach Chris Anderson and Monsignor Edward Pace High ... was the team MVP for the Spartans.
