Track and Field Captures Four Events at the Music City Challenge

WKU's men's and women's indoor track and field teams had a tremendous showing at this weekend's Music City Challenge as the Hilltoppers and Lady Tops captured four events and an impressive 12 top-three finishes.

Fredrick Edmond scored 25 points and Justin Johnson added 19 points and 11 rebounds for the Hilltoppers (12-13, 4-8), who played their second-straight overtime contest.

WKU Tennis Picks Up Win At EKU

The WKU women's tennis team picked up its second consecutive win of the season against Eastern Kentucky on Saturday in Richmond at the Greg Adams Tennis Center. With the 4-3 win, the Lady Toppers improve to 2-2 on the season while EKU drops to 3-3.

Late Game Heroics Lift WKU Past Butler Saturday

WKU's Hannah Parker registered a career-high eight strikeouts and rookie Byrce Holmgren recorded the game-winning hit in the seventh inning as the Lady Toppers shutout Butler, 2-0.

Parker, Chaumont Power WKU to an Opening Day Split

WKU opened its 2016 season with a split on the day after picking up an 8-4 victory over Appalachian State before falling to No. 4 Auburn, 19-1, in the nightcap.
