Four great names in the history of Western Kentucky University Athletics will be inducted as the 25th class into the WKU Athletic Hall of Fame in ceremonies set for Homecoming Weekend this fall.
WKU was picked to finish sixth in the Conference USA Preseason Coaches Poll, announced Wednesday by the league.
Coming off their largest victory in the FBS era against a conference foe, the WKU Hilltoppers got back to work on Tuesday in preparation for Saturday's 11 a.m. showdown with longtime rival Middle Tennessee, a pivotal matchup in Conference USA's East Division.
A pair of top five finishes from sophomore Georgina Blackman and senior Ellinor Haag paced the WKU Women's Golf team to a fourth place showing, with a 50-over 914 (312-302-300) team score at the UC Bearcats Fall Classic hosted by the par-72, 6,186-yard TPC River's Bend.
Led by freshman Blake Smith, the Hilltopper Men's Golf team finished in seventh place with a five-over 869 (288-292-289) team score at the Firestone Invitational, hosted by Akron.
